Section GL-90 - Land
While this equipment section is intended to describe only the land associated with this facility the following description includes all those items which make up the real estate (Land and buildings).
Located on the corner of La. Hwy 1006 and Hwy 1007 in Assumption Parish this site has about 16 acres of land. The processing facility, concrete cane yard, offices and warehouses occupy almost all of the 16 acres. An additional 76.11 acres is leased from adjoining landowners for impoundment areas and warehouses. Improvements on the site include, a 2,990 sf. office building, a 1,820 sf. metal-clad engineer’s office, a 5,400 sf. shop w/ storage, a 16,500 sf. storage warehouse, a 2,400 sf. machine shop, a 17,000 sf. bagasse storage area, a 16,800 sf. sugar warehouse and a 46,084 sf. main mill building area. There is a 500,000 gal capacity molasses tank battery covered with a 4,000 s.f. metal roof. On the leased land improvements include, a 800 sf. core lab, a 30,000 sf. storage warehouse, a 25,000 sf. sugar warehouse, a 25,000 sf. sugar bagging plant, and a 8,400 sugar warehouse adjoining the 16,800 sf. sugar warehouse.
